Every sun sign in the zodiac has qualities of "disposition" unique unto it. The interesting thing is that we all are given a birth chart that contains each of the sun signs. When we let go of the limiting beliefs about our natal astrology, we are able to tap into the center light where we are all connected and we have access to any disposition we choose!

Here is another of Dad's mandalas. He just "discovered" the clone stamp in Photoshop. Now, I've seen that clone stamp and even used it a few times. However, I never thought to copy "stars" with it. Something different!

Thanksgiving

When my Dad was first introduced to our MandalaMaker™ software, he really struggled with it. Since that time,
he has learned to play and have fun. I am constantly surprised and delighted with the images he comes
up with. He thinks of the coolest things that stretch my imagination. That green "critter" in the center just makes me giggle.

What does that have to do with the quote? Not much that immediately comes to mind. It is the time of year for
our national holiday of Thanksgiving, so I went looking for a quote with that theme. It is true, I am most appreciative
of my "old" friends who have stood the test of time. And, I feel most lucky to be meeting new people
on Cape Cod and through the internet who have the potential of being "new" friends.

I am also thankful, beyond description, that I have a Dad who is open and willing to learn something new.
Thanks Dad!

I took last week's mandala and changed a few colors. This was followed by adding some filters from Photoshop. It is the same form and outline with a completely different feeling. Softening the edges, I smile.

This design is from my Mandala Coloring Book #5. For some reason, I have been particularly attracted to this mandala. When Alan asked me to color one for the cover, I chose this piece. I thought it looked like fun! And it is. I've already colored four different versions. The thing about coloring books is that each image could be colored as many different ways as there are people. Add onto that all the different ways one person would color it, and what a variety! One form, one structure, many possibilities for expression. Fun? Oh yes, thank you!

Bright Window

Pairing up an inspirational quote and the mandala-of-the-week doesn't always make logical sense.
However, this week they seemed to click in place. Dad's Mandala really reminds me of a bright window. When I
look through the opening I see a Yantra and a beautiful bright pink color. I feel really happy when I look at it.

Then, as I gazed, I had the thought that more people should see this.

Suddenly, I realized I had the answer to a question I had been asking.
"What would be a good structure or theme for a blog?"

Of course, It would have to be something that I enjoyed doing and I would be willing to give time. I have loved offering the "mandala of the week" on our web page http://www.abgoodwin.com/mandala. Adding a "Mandala of the Week" blog and commentary seems like a natural progression.

Well, this was fun. A new baby blog has birthed through a bright window.
I look forward to watching you grow.

This chart has a Sag rising - There will be some fun here,
and some interesting philosophies. The Sabian symbol for
8 degrees Sagittarius is:

for many people finding out about the Mandala blog.
